Difco Beef Extract is an animal origin peptone derived from an infusion of beef. This nutritional supplement provides a mixture of peptides, individual amino acids, nucleotides, organic acids, minerals, and vitamins. Provided as a paste, customers have used Difco Beef Extract in a variety of microbial fermentation cell lines, including Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtillis, Pasteurella multocida, and Streptococcus species to produce numerous animal health vaccines.
