在工业除尘领域中，本塔可作为湿式除尘器，尤其适用于含尘浓度不高，但气体有一定毒性的场合。经该塔净化后的气体均可达国家排放标准。
新型垂直筛孔塔（简称WJ塔）创造了喷射型的气液接触方式，改变了常规筛孔塔气液两相错流鼓泡的接触方式，显示出高效率，高通量的优点
