冲击电压发生器 一种模仿雷电及操作过电压等冲击电压的电源装置。主要用于绝缘冲击耐压及介质冲击击穿、放电等试验中（见图）。
绝缘试验用冲击电压的标准波形按照《高电压试验技术》标准和国家标准规定：
雷电冲击波T1/T2=1.2/50μs
操作冲击波Tcr/T2=250/2500μs
工作原理冲击电压发生器通常都采用Marx回路，如图1所示。

参考此分析解，并根据实际经验，冲击电压波形参数可按下式作近似估计：波前时间
半峰值时间 T2≈0.69Rt(C1+C2)
效率冲击电压发生器输出电压幅值V2m与充电电压пV 之比称作发生器的效率η，即 η=(V2m /nV)×100％
对雷电冲击波，η一般约80％；对操作冲击波，η有时仅60％。
冲击电压波形参数T1(Tcr)、T2及发生器效率η与回路结构和参数有关，均需通过实际调试进行调整和确定。
对于电力变压器等带有绕组的电力设备，通常还要求做雷电冲击截波试验。冲击电压发生器外接一截断间隙即可产生冲击截波。标准雷电截波是标准雷电冲击波经过2～6μs截断的波形。
冲击电压发生器是高电压试验室的基本试验设备之一。目前中国已建的冲击电压发生器zui高额定电压为7.5MV，有的国家个别的高达10MV。
