Synonyms	IGFBP-6, IBP-6, IGF-binding protein 6.
Introduction	IGFBP6 plays a role in lipoprotein assembly and dietary cholesterol absorption. in addition to its acyltransferase activity, it may act as a ligase. may provide cholesteryl esters for lipoprotein secretion from hepatocytes and intestinal mucosa.
Description	IGFBP6 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing amino acids 148-240 and having a molecular mass of 20 kDa including 4kDa His tag. IGFBP6 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Source	Escherichia Coli.
Physical Appearance	Sterile Filtered White lyophilized （freeze-dried） powder.
Formulation	IBP-6 was lyophilized from a concentrated （1mg/ml） solution containing 1X PBS, 0.1% SDS and 1mM DTT.
Solubility	It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein-6 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability	Lyophilized IBP6 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IGFBP-6 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein （0.1% HSA or BSA）. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity	Greater than 80.0% as determined by（a） Analysis by RP-HPLC. （b） Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Applications	1. Positive control for Western Blot. 2. Antibody production. 3. Protein Assay.
