PerkinElmer's Custom Synthesis Lab scientists are experts in dealing with technically challenging synthesis of radiolabeled biochemicals such as peptides, steroids, lipids, and others. Our synthesis chemists routinely collaborate with chemists from PerkinElmer's Analytical Laboratory to ensure the successful purification and analysis of final products.
Chiral synthesis and chiral separation
In pharmaceutical development, there is a growing need for chiral compounds, which may offer superior characteristics over racemic mixtures. At PerkinElmer, we are experienced in synthesizing chiral compounds, as well as performing chiral separations. With your welcomed participation, we can efficiently select the most appropriate chiral methodology for your custom solution. As the table below shows, we offer several alternatives.
Purity requirements for 14C, 3H, and 35S custom synthesis
PerkinElmer analyzes every custom synthesis solution to ensure that it meets your purity requirements, which, of course, are agreed upon before you accept our quotation. When your custom radiochemical is delivered, it is accompanied by a report detailing exactly what purity analysis methods were used - HPLC; MS; NMR; GLC; UV spectrometry; HPSEC; PDA or LCMS; or agarose or polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis - and what the results are. For totally new, custom radiochemicals, the PerkinElmer Analytical Laboratory works with you and with PerkinElmer's synthesis chemists in a three-way effort to develop appropriate new analytical methods.
